Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated attorney to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic professional with a strong background in family law, estate planning and/or criminal law. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of cases and to collaborate with experienced legal professionals in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Representation: Represent clients in the office and in court and during legal proceedings, ensuring their rights and interests are effectively protected.
- Legal Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and provide sound legal advice.
- Case Management: Manage a caseload from initial consultation to resolution, including drafting and reviewing legal documents, preparing legal arguments, making court appearances and negotiating settlements.
- Consultation: Must be able to conduct legal consultations and provide expert legal advice to clients, explaining legal options, potential outcomes, and strategies pertaining to their case.
- Compliance: Ensure all legal practices and personal and professional conduct adhere to state and federal regulations and ethical requirements and stay updated on changes in the law.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff to prepare and present cases.
- Client Communication: Maintain clear and regular communication with clients, keeping them informed about case progress and promptly addressing their concerns.
- Draftsmanship: Drafting quality documents that effectively protect our clients’ assets and rights.
- Organizational skills
Qualifications:
- Experience: Mid-career professionals with 5-10 years of experience, lateral candidates, or newly licensed attorneys in Washington State.
- Skills: Strong analytical, research, and writing skills. Excellent communication, speaking, and interpersonal skills.
- Attributes: Strategic thinker with a collaborative mindset, a commitment to professional growth, and a passion for community involvement. Proven ability to handle complex legal matters and work independently. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
